Subtle and sexy! Maybe just get the bumpers and arches smoothed in, and also just one of those subs in a ported box would work muchy better!

corsa j it is ported look at the slat in the middle and its a merc in the middle look at the light.

I'm sure that isnt a merc with a huge spoiler like that, and i see the port now sorry but that port is way undersized and so is the box, just one of them in a properly sized box and with the correct port would work loads better!

 

yeah it does look a tad on the small size, what size box is it? i bet they shift some air though!

It is a big box but, you should expect it if your running 2 ported 15 inch subs! i thought it would have to be bigger than that

Yeah to run two 15's you should be using a box around 7-8 cubic feet i'd say that thats about 3-4.5.

Well you would get better performance if they were in a correct size box. it wouldnt damage them in anyway. Do you know the size of it?

 

Any need for the language there? It's subtle in the way that the kit is not OTT its a subtle kit and not ridiculous, in regard to the sub box size, a bigger box would get better SPL out of the subs which gives much better performance!

No because that is taking away the cubic feet, when calculating box size you have to imagine there is no port there and then add the port after you have got the size

guys i built the system for this car the box is the correct size for the subs with the music sam plays,

if the box was 7-8cuft then your talking spl bass and thats no good for normal everyday tunez

those subs play from 2cuft to 6cuft for spl, and sam ain't doing spl, the box measures with displacment for the subs and the port size 4cuft

this is perfect for the subs in an everyday situation as sam has, and with this box and the viper amp running them into 1ohm the roof on the car shakes and ya ass tightens up, so tell me y would he want anymore and the risk of blowing his subs for bass that is basicly no good for him


not ranting just senting the record straight, but if you feel the need to say other wise then carry on but i will ask you to prove me wrong seen as i have been building systems for max power and revs staff cars for iasca for over 17 years..................

Fair enough mate you came and explained your point, its just cuz im into SPL more than anything thats all Whats it tuned to about 32hz? What power is the amp RMS? and each subs RMS?

the box is tuned to 75hz as anything lower is pointless unless like ya self for spl

the amp is the directed viper 1200 plays into 1ohm at about a k plenty for our sam the subs are 750 each

 

Nice, ive got an RE HC12 1250WRMS running off a Hifonics brutus 1500d 1500RMS in a 2.2 cubic ft ported box tuned to 35 hz, cant wait to get out and about!
